Regarding their open offensive coordinator position, the Pittsburgh Steelers have reportedly asked Los Angeles Rams assistant coach Zac Robinson to come in for an interview.

The Steelers requested an interview with Robinson, who has been the NFC team’s pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the past two seasons, according to NFL insider Albert Breer on Monday.

Breer reported on Monday that Robinson had previously interviewed with the Chicago Bears and that the New England Patriots and Las Vegas Raiders were interested in him.

The Rams have had the NFL assistant since 2019. He started out as the assistant wide receiver coach and assistant quarterbacks coach before working his way up to his current position.

Robinson worked as an analyst for the sports analytics company Pro Football Focus prior to becoming a coach in the National Football League (NFL).

During his final two seasons as a college football player at Oklahoma State, Robinson won eighteen games. He began his three seasons as the Cowboys’ starting quarterback.

The Steelers are searching outside the organization for a candidate to take over as offensive coordinator. After Matt Canada was fired in the 2023 season, running backs coach Eddie Faulkner and quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan oversaw the offense. Coach Mike Tomlin of the Steelers stated last week at a press conference that they are seeking an outside candidate for the role.

In response to a question about who would appoint the offensive coordinator, Tomlin stated that he, president Art Rooney II, and general manager Omar Khan would do so.

Following a loss to the Buffalo Bills during Super Wild Card Weekend, the Steelers’ season came to an end.
