In order to sign one of their top targets, the New York Mets took advantage of the window’s opening to sign international free agents.
They are signing a baseball player with extraordinarily good genetics.
According to a number of reports, Vladi Miguel Guerrero has signed with the Mets. He is the son of Hall of Famer Vlad Sr. and half-brother of Vladdy Jr., according to a tweet from FOX Sports: MLB.
The National Baseball Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero, who retired with nine All-Star selections, a.318 batting average, and 449 career home runs, is the father of Vladi Miguel. Guerrero also won the AL MVP award.
Additionally, he is Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s half-brother, the former AL MVP candidate.
You could say that his blood is baseball.
Guerrero is a good young player whose calling card is power, much like his father, even though he wasn’t listed among MLB Pipeline’s top 50 prospects for the 2024 signing period.
He hits from the left side.
He will have all the time he needs to polish the remaining abilities with the Mets since there is no pressure to be ready to play in the majors right away, allowing him to advance at his own speed.
Since the deadline last year, the Mets have made a concerted effort to raise the caliber of their farm system, and they have seen incredible results.
Guerrero Sr. already has three sons signed to Major League Baseball organizations; his third son, Pablo, plays affiliate baseball.
Now that he has some company in the professional baseball ranks, Guerrero Jr. would give anything to watch his brothers make it to The Show at some point in the not too distant future.
