Due to a groin injury, quarterback Geno Smith was listed by the Seattle Seahawks as questionable for Monday’s home game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday.

Earlier in the week, Smith participated in practice only somewhat, but on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, he participated fully. In their matchup with the Eagles (10-3) the Seahawks (6-7) are hoping he will be available. Seattle is struggling to maintain its postseason hopes after suffering four straight losses.

Smith sustained an injury during practice on December 7 and was unable to play against the host San Francisco 49ers last Sunday.

“He just tweaked his groin a little bit,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said that week. “Just kind of stumbled over somebody.”

Drew Lock began for the Seahawks and completed 22 of 31 passes for 269 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. The 49ers won 28–16.

In 12 games this season, Smith has thrown for 2,918 yards, 15 touchdowns, and nine interceptions.

In addition, linebacker Nick Bellore (knee), safety Jamal Adams (knee), cornerback Devon Witherspoon (hip), and wide receiver Dee Eskridge (ribs) are all listed by Seattle as questionable.
