Eagles star worth $45 million is traded to the Ravens in the proposed “Splash” deal.

Regarding Haason Reddick, the Philadelphia Eagles are considering trade possibilities.

Haason Reddick’s future with the Philadelphia Eagles is up for debate after the organization granted the outstanding pass rusher permission to pursue a trade. Reddick’s agent, Philadelphia, is hesitant to agree to a high-paying long-term contract.

Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report suggested three moves the Eagles might consider to make a “splash” before the 2024 NFL Draft. According to one trade suggestion, Philadelphia would send Reddick to the Baltimore Ravens in return for the 30th overall first-round pick.

“The Eagles have made it fairly obvious that trading Reddick before or during the draft is a move they are considering,” Ballentine wrote in a March 27, 2024 story titled, “Eagles’ Top Hypothetical Trades to Make Splash in 2024 NFL Draft.  They moved back his $1 million roster bonus to April 1, per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

“The Ravens don’t usually like to sign free agents until the point where they don’t count against the compensatory formula. Trading for one wouldn’t affect the comp pick formula and would address the need with a needle-moving talent,” Ballentine continued.

Eagles Rumor: A three-year, $47 million contract is expected to be Haason Reddick’s next deal.

In 2024, Reddick is expected to have a substantial $21.8 million cap hit. This is the last year of a three-year, forty-five million dollar contract. For his next contract, Spotrac forecasts Reddick’s market value to be around $47.4 million for three years.

This transaction with the Ravens makes a lot of sense financially. The Eagles trade a first-round pick on a rookie deal that benefits the team for a large contract. Things get trickier if you think of this as a player for player transaction.

Dangerously close to being a second-round pick is the No. 30 pick. Can the man chosen at No. 30 perform at even remotely the caliber of play that the Eagles have grown accustomed to seeing from Reddick? For a novice, this would be a challenging assignment.

With four seasons in a row with 11 or more sacks, the veteran has established himself as one of the NFL’s best defenders when it comes to pressure on the quarterback. In 17 starts during the previous season, Reddick recorded 38 tackles, 23 quarterback hits, 13 tackles for loss, and 11 sacks.

Eagles Rumors: Hasson Reddick Trade Potential Rivals for the Falcons and Cardinals

If the Eagles are able to come to an agreement, it is unclear what Reddick’s trade value will be. The Atlanta Falcons and Arizona Cardinals are two teams to keep an eye on as possible trade destinations for Reddick, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

“The expectation leaguewide is that he is moved at some point,” Fowler noted in a March 23 edition of “SportsCenter,” via Bleacher Report’s Adam Wells. “The Eagles went and spent on Bryce Huff, they re-signed Josh Sweat, so they have their two pass rushers.

“Reddick appears to be the odd man out. He does want a new deal, but this is a premier guy that should have value. He wants a new contract, plus the draft capital that it’s going to take to get him. Arizona could be a team to watch because Jonathan Gannon was with him two years ago in Philly,” Fowler added. “They had good production together. Arizona needs pass rushers. Atlanta to an extent, so there should be teams in the mix.”
