After Darwin Nunez’s “change,” Dominik Szoboszlai of Liverpool says, “It doesn’t matter.”

Dominik Szoboszlai, a midfielder for Liverpool, asserts that the team will continue to come from behind to win if necessary.

Dominik Szoboszlai claims that he is living the dream of “every football player” as he enjoys a prosperous start to his Liverpool career.

Following his £60 million transfer from RB Leipzig, the Hungarian has so far shown encouraging signs. The 22-year-old has made every appearance for the Reds in the Premier League, scoring his first goal in the 3-0 victory over Aston Villa.

Szoboszlai joined Liverpool in the summer after Alexis MacAllister was lured away from Brighton & Hove Albion in June. The midfielder has been among Jurgen Klopp’s team’s standout performers as they head into this weekend’s game against West Ham United looking to extend their unbeaten streak.

“I (have) worked a lot to become a player of Liverpool. It was a dream,” said Szoboszlai.

“But I think for every football player it’s a dream to play for Liverpool, it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world. And also the fans, the club, the history and that you can play with these legends and players that I’m playing with, it’s a pleasure to be here.

“Just the fans, just the stadium, just the team, just the history of the club, everything. I want to achieve a lot of things this year and not only this (year) but the next couple of years as well.”

Szoboszlai was a second-half substitute against LASK in the Europa League on Thursday. It was a return to Austria for the Hungarian after he enjoyed three years with Bundesliga giants RB Salzburg.

Liverpool fell behind in their Group E opener in Upper Austria as their concerning trend continued. Florian Flecker’s half-volley saw the Reds go behind for the fourth time this season.

The 22-year-old says he is confident the Reds can overcome adversity in any situation but concedes that it would be easier if Liverpool drew first blood.

“I’m confident anyway all the time but, of course, as we win the games and we can turn the games in our way, it gives us even more confidence,” he said speaking to Liverpoolfc.com.

“It would be even nicer if we don’t go 1-0 down and then we need to get up. If we score the first goal, it’s a little bit easier. But if we have to do it like this then we are going to do it like this.

“We just need to be focused, we just need to be ready for everything. Also, we know what we can achieve this year, so we have to be ready always.”

He added: “This was the main thing that the manager was also talking about – that it doesn’t matter who is playing, who is starting, who is coming in, everything can change.

“As you see in Newcastle, Darwin made a big change. Also Harvey now on the weekend – maybe it was not his goal because they didn’t give it to him but I give it to him.

“We have such good guys, a good squad and everybody is ready to fight for each other.”
