The Bulls will be watching Zach LaVine and Alex Caruso, who are both doubtful to play, as they get ready to play the Nets.
It’s safe to say that not much has gone right for the Chicago Bulls after they got off to a terrible 5–12 start to the regular season. This team doesn’t appear to be cohesive or capable of winning every night on the court. Even still, they have already had to cope with a number of injuries, and with Zach LaVine and Alex Caruso both sidelined for Sunday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets, they may have to do so once more.
While Caruso, who is also starting to be traded for, is a target for playoff teams, he is dealing with a strained left toe, LaVine, whose name has been in trade rumors almost daily, is experiencing discomfort in his right foot. Given that both players are doubtful to play against the Nets, Chicago may face a major obstacle in their attempt to win back some games.
The Bulls are hoping that Alex Caruso and Zach LaVine can play against the Nets.
Both LaVine (22.3 PPG, 5 RPG, 3.3 APG, 45.4 FG%) and Caruso (9.8 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 2.2 APG, 56.7 FG%) have had excellent starts to the season despite some unsettling beginnings. LaVine and Caruso may be traded at some point this year, given the rumored impending Bulls fire sale; however, for the time being, they are committed to trying to assist Chicago in sorting things out.
That begins with both of them playing against the Nets, though it appears that neither of them will play in this game. The Bulls, who have lost three straight games, must maintain their health if they hope to turn things around. It wouldn’t be wise to wager on this Bulls team to find a way to win, even if LaVine and Caruso are able to participate.
