A crucial component of the Los Angeles Rams’ offense will return in time for their Sunday matchup against the dismal Arizona Cardinals.
Ahead of their Sunday matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, the Los Angeles Rams have received some encouraging news. After an injury, Rams running back Kyren Williams is expected to play in the game, according to ESPN. Due to an ankle injury, Williams had been placed on injured reserve and was out of commission for a few weeks.
Before suffering an injury this season, Williams was a vital component of the Rams’ offense, supporting the running game in every circumstance. With 97 carries for 456 yards and six touchdowns in 2023, the running back has seen an increase in touches. Compared to 2022, when Williams only carried the ball 35 times in 10 games, that is a significant increase.
Before suffering a knock, Williams had also been receiving passes out of the backfield. For the season, he has 13 receptions for 105 receiving yards. This season, he has just one receiving touchdown. Williams’ injury has limited his game appearances to just six this season.
Before getting hurt, the running back had his best game of the season on October 15 against the Cardinals. Williams carried the ball 20 times for 158 yards and a touchdown as Los Angeles won that game 26–9. When the Rams play Arizona on Sunday, they certainly hope he can pick up where he left off.
In the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Williams was selected. He was the ACC Rookie of the Year in 2020 and a second-team All-American in 2022 while playing collegiate football at Notre Dame.
The Rams have a 4-6 record going into the game on Sunday. Arizona has a score of 2–9. The game begins at 4:05 PM Eastern time.
