For their game on Thursday night against the visiting San Francisco 49ers, the Seattle Seahawks listed running back Kenneth Walker III (oblique) as doubtful and quarterback Geno Smith (elbow) as questionable on Wednesday.
Pete Carroll, the coach of the Seahawks, stated on Monday that Smith will “make it back” for the Thanksgiving primetime game. Smith has a contusion near his elbow on the tendon at the base of his right triceps.
Carroll also thought Walker wouldn’t be prepared in such a short week. Walker was replaced by rookie running back Zach Charbonnet last week, and Charbonnet is anticipated to receive the majority of the carries. DeeJay Dallas, a fourth-year running back, and Kenny McIntosh are also anticipated to play.
“It’s not going to happen for Kenny. Carroll stated, “We decided to mark it as unlikely since you never know, but he was unable to accomplish anything during the week.”
But safety Jamal Adams, who was sidelined during Week 11, will be back, and Tre Brown, Coby Bryant, and defensive back Riq Woolen are all healthy.
Broadly Offensive tackle Abraham Lucas (knee) is listed as questionable, and Dareke Young (abdomen) is listed as doubtful.
Jerrick Reed II, a rookie safety, sustained an ACL injury last week against the Los Angeles Rams and will need surgery.
