On Wednesday, Matthew Stafford and the Rams received important news: Kyren Williams is anticipated to play against the Cardinals.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, running back Kyren Williams has been officially designated by the Los Angeles Rams to resume practice. Williams is anticipated to play on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, according to Schefter, and he is scheduled to return to practice on Wednesday.
Williams has recovered from an ankle injury, but going forward, he should be a key member of the Rams. With a record of 4-6 going into Week 12, Los Angeles is in desperate need of assistance. Having Williams on the roster will be crucial, especially with Cooper Kupp dealing with an injury.
Los Angeles will need the rushing attack to step up if Kupp, a star receiver, is forced to miss time.
Kyren Williams’s return
For the Rams, Williams’ return is essential. In six games this season, the 26-year-old has gained 456 yards and six touchdowns. In just his second NFL season, Williams has shown flashes of star potential.
With more depth, Los Angeles’ rushing attack will be stronger. Although the Rams’ running backs have had some strong performances, they have struggled to establish consistency. In that sense, Williams’s return will be beneficial.
Rams before their matchup with the Cardinals
In Week 11, the Rams defeated the Seattle Seahawks 17–16 to end a three-game losing streak. Los Angeles needs to get on a winning streak quickly if they want to make it to the playoffs.
Although it’s not technically impossible, winning the division is probably out of the Rams’ grasp. Their main goal will be to secure a spot on the Wild Card.
Maybe with Kyren Williams back, the Rams can defeat the Cardinals on Sunday and win their second straight game. It should be mentioned that Los Angeles’ most recent matchup with the Cardinals ended with a 26-9 victory over Arizona.
