Tomorrow is Atlanta vs. Philadelphia, their second in-season tournament match.

The Hawks will try to turn their recent loss to the New York Knicks into a victory tomorrow night when they play the Philadelphia 76ers. For the Hawks, it will be their second in-season tournament match. The 76ers are among the best teams in the NBA since the James Harden trade, despite their two-game losing streak. Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid appear to be MVP contenders, and the players they acquired back in the Harden trade are a good fit.

Atlanta released its injury report ahead of tomorrow’s game, and nothing new has been added. Trae Young was not listed on the injury report for tomorrow’s game against Philadelphia after returning for yesterday’s match. Kobe Bufkin and Mouhamed Gueye, two rookies, are the only players on there.

Both players have been listed as injured, and Atlanta provided a more thorough report on the two players this past Sunday:

“Guard Kobe Bufkin, who fractured his left thumb on November 2, had an X-ray and medical evaluation yesterday. His healing will determine how quickly his rehabilitation advances, and he will still undergo weekly reviews. It will take him eight to ten weeks from the date of the injury to return to play.

Moving forward Mouhamed Gueye had an MRI yesterday at the Emory Sports Medicine Complex. Gueye has missed the last two games due to a strain in his lower back. A right low back stress fracture was discovered by MRI. In four weeks, he will undergo another evaluation, and any necessary updates to his status will be made.”

The Hawks and Knicks had a good game last night, but Atlanta was severely harmed by offensive rebounding. Trae Young finished with 17 assists after having a respectable game. The Hawks will face challenges in this game, but victory would give them a 2-0 record in the in-season tournament.
