After Liverpool defeated Bournemouth this evening, Jurgen Klopp had a reaction that delighted the travelling Liverpool supporters.

After a close game, the Reds prevailed 2-1 to advance to the quarterfinal draw. The South Coast got the job done, even though it wasn’t always attractive.

It was a stormy Wednesday night in November, and Klopp made sure to show his gratitude to the Liverpool supporters after the match, given the great distance they had travelled to watch their team.

Journalist Caoimhe O’Neil captured the Reds manager giving his customary fist bumps towards the away section at the end of the game and shared a video of it on Twitter. When people in attendance greet the Jurgen raucously, it’s always a good indication that his night went well.

Klopp acknowledges the fans that travelled.

O’Neil called Klopp’s gesture of gratitude to the Liverpool fans a “gift,” and he’s not wrong.

Even in the best of circumstances, it is a very long journey to travel from Liverpool to Bournemouth. But it must feel considerably further on a windy and rainy midweek evening. And for a fourth round of the Carabao Cup?

Still, from beginning to end at Dean Court, you could only hear Reds support. The Liverpool supporters were having a great time in spite of, or perhaps precisely because of, the difficult travel and terrible weather.

On these kinds of nights, Klopp always delivers his fist bumps, which is a sign of how grateful he is to the fans. It’s his method of expressing gratitude.

After significant Premier League victories at Anfield, the manager occasionally hesitates to gesture to the supporters.

However, he doesn’t hold back if he genuinely wants to express gratitude to fans for giving it their best.

It won’t feel quite as difficult to get back up north tonight with a victory secured and a satisfied Jurgen.

Go all out tonight and sound like a boss on the South Coast.
