When Nottingham Forest visits Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, Kostas Tsimikas hopes to channel the strength he feels there.

With victories in all four of their home games, the Reds have amassed 20 points from their first nine top-flight matches.

After returning from the international break, Jürgen Klopp’s team will be back in L4 for their third Anfield match in eight days across all competitions. They will be hoping to build on victories against Toulouse in the Europa League and Everton in the Merseyside derby.

When the Reds take against Steve Cooper’s Forest this weekend, Tsimikas hopes they can keep up that momentum.

The left-back informed Premier League Productions prior to the match that “every Premier League game is very hard, so it will be tough for us.”

“However, I believe that everyone is fully concentrated on this game. We put forth a lot of effort into this game every day. Although I believe it will be extremely difficult, the team will be fully committed, fully focused, and fully prepared to take on this challenge.”

Liverpool’s 5-1 victory against Toulouse on Thursday night gave them a perfect seven victories in 2023–24 at home in all competitions.

Last season, when Forest came to Anfield, the Reds were victorious in a nail-biting five-goal match; Tsimikas was questioned about the foundation of the team’s success at home.

The No. 21 player explained, “It’s because of the fans, the extra motivation they give you every single time you play there.”

“Everyone is alert, and they constantly attempt to exert pressure on you and provide you with all the resources you require to win the game. That seems to be the primary concern.

“As a player, I always feel like I have more power, more running, and more needs for my game when I play here [at Anfield].” That, in my opinion, is the most crucial factor.
