As you can expect, the current Rugby World Cup is the topic of conversation in the athletic community.
Rugby-related inquiries are making their way into interviews and social media posts even in football, and Trent Alexander-Arnold has just received one of these inquiries.
Alexander-Arnold chose Ibrahima Konate as the Liverpool teammate he believes would make the finest rugby player when asked who of his current colleagues would make the best rugby player on Premier League Productions.
Konate could play rugby
Alexander-Arnold discussed the £35 million player.
“Who out of your teammates would make a good rugby player?” Alexander-Arnold was asked.
“I would say Ibou, he’s big and strong and fast, that’s what you need,” Alexander-Arnold said.
Good team
Although Liverpool may be among the top football teams in the world, we’d guess that this group could compete with any rugby side in the world.
With his mix of strength and pace, as Alexander-Arnold notes, Konate would be a terrific player, but the same could undoubtedly be said of Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Darwin Nunez.
Although it’s a whole different sport, all you really need to be good at is quick, powerful, aggressive, and competitive.
One of the most talented centre backs in the league, Konate could simply switch to rugby and likely win the game if his football career doesn’t work out as expected.
