As he continues to drop down the Liverpool hierarchy due to his persistent injuries, Thiago is being “pushed towards the exit.”
According to AS, the midfielder is apparently on the verge of leaving Liverpool after giving proposals from Saudi Arabia and Turkey this summer a “deaf ear.”
According to the publication, the midfielder’s recuperation from a hip flexor issue saw a setback on Friday. This is further bad news for him.
They claim that the Spanish midfielder has been plagued by injuries ‘as if it were a curse’ and that he has struggled at Liverpool for the past several years due to a variety of issues.
The hip flexor issue was already surgically treated for at the end of last year, but it has since “become the worst of his nightmares.”
A new relapse in the latter stages of his recuperation means he is once more out of the picture just as he was starting to glimpse the light at the end of the tunnel.
The’scourge of injuries’ the 32-year-old has been dealing with have reduced him to a ‘completely secondary role’ at Liverpool, which is even worse given that the Reds significantly reconstructed their midfield over the summer.
With offers from Saudi Arabia and Turkey, he already had the option to leave in the summer, but his medical issues are now “pushing him towards the exit door.”
He first ‘turned a deaf ear’ to it, but AS think the truth is that given his injuries and the newcomers at Anfield, his future is likely to lay outside of Merseyside.
