Pedro Neto of Wolverhampton Wanderers is a target for Liverpool.

Football Transfers (via Birmingham World) reports that Liverpool, a powerhouse in the Premier League, are interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers player Pedro Neto before the January 2024 transfer window.

While at Molineux, the 23-year-old has struggled with injuries, he is still capable of flashes of brilliance. This season, he has sort of come back, and his performance against Manchester City in the 2-1 victory last Saturday was quite excellent.

Due to the departures over the summer of players like Adama Traore, Raul Jimenez, and Ruben Neves, among others, Wolves are in a difficult situation. The Pack can anticipate an entertaining season, though, with Neto and company stepping up.

Neto, a forward who plays on the flank, is swift and powerful. He is a challenging player to mark down and can play effectively in a flowing frontline. This is advantageous for Liverpool, who use a front trio capable of switching positions and causing havoc.

The winger is seen by the Reds as a possible Mohamed Salah replacement going into the January transfer window. Numerous Saudi Arabian clubs continue to show interest in the Egyptian superstar, and this is unlikely to change in 2024.

Liverpool would likely reject any offers for Salah in January, but they could be open to a good deal in the summer. Of course, it’s possible that it will depend on the club receiving a large sum of money and the availability of the ideal player to take his place.

Since Neto has sufficient Premier League experience, he won’t require much time to become used to the league. Given how exciting the next European Championships are, Neto will be motivated to keep fighting for a berth on the Portuguese team. The Iberian giants might not have a choice if he maintains his purple phase.

Despite not having reached his peak yet at age 23, Neto is nevertheless clearly making a difference. Jurgen Klopp has a history of assisting young athletes in reaching their full potential. He may find that Neto is his future major star in the making. Providing the Reds can find their man, that is.
