Faizon Brandon’s remarkable start to the 2026 college football season continues to generate attention around the football world, with the Tennessee freshman quarterback emerging as one of the most talked-about young players in the country. He responded by helping Tennessee secure a 45-24 victory. Brandon completed 10 of 21 passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns while adding 22 rushing yards on five attempts. Although his statistical production was lower than it had been against Furman, the performance provided another important piece of evidence about his development.
Through two games, Brandon had thrown for 374 yards and five touchdowns without an interception. His ability to protect the football while contributing to Tennessee’s victories has been an important part of the early conversation surrounding his season.

Brandon completed more than 72 percent of his career passes for 6,374 yards and 79 touchdowns while adding 1,261 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns.
