Kylian Mbappe’s transfer to Real Madrid is allegedly in his “destiny,” according to La Liga president Javier Tebas.
Mbappe is anticipated to become a free agent in the summer of 2024, as things stand. The Frenchman’s inability to extend his contract with PSG thus far has generated a lot of rumors that he may be moving to Liverpool.
The odds are still in favor of Mbappe joining Madrid, though, according to smart money. Tebas concurred, speaking to Movistar Plus via The Mirror.
The 61-year-old responded that he was “70-80%” certain that the forward would be sporting all white next season when asked if he was convinced.
“Convinced, convinced, no. But it is a destiny for him, for sure,” Tebas answered. “Next year it will be more than 70-80 per cent.”
Mbappe moves toward Madrid.
Before we find out where Mbappe will be playing next season, there are still a lot of twists to come, as usual.
At first, it appeared as though his refusal to sign with PSG would earn him a one-way ticket out of Paris in the summer. But Kylian stayed put after rejecting an offer from Al Hilal.
These rifts in Mbappe’s relationship with his team have been patched up in the past. Luis Enrique, the manager of PSG, will hope for another instance of that after reintegrating him into the team. But there are no guarantees until the World Cup victor signs the contract.
It seems inevitable that Mbappe will move to the Bernabeu if he doesn’t commit his future to the French champions. It has always seemed likely that the £166 million man would play for Madrid, as Tebas alludes to.
It would seem to be the ideal time for that to occur since there isn’t a transfer fee to pay.
However, Liverpool seems to still be somewhat competitive. The Reds have consistently been mentioned as a possible destination for Mbappe, who is said to be extremely interested in the idea of a move to Anfield.
Therefore, Liverpool may be able to make that 20–30% of doubt matter now that they are hopefully back in the Champions League. While we won’t be holding our breath, you never know
