Thiago Alcantara and Trent Alexander-Arnold weren’t included in Jurgen Klopp’s 23-man roster for the trip to Austria, as was to be expected.

The two, who the German earlier described as “exceptional” (Daily Mail & Sky Sports), are still recovering from their injuries. According to liverpoolfc.com, the former is working on his recuperation while the latter is recovering from a hamstring ailment.

Both players will undoubtedly be greatly missed by Liverpool, but it may not be the worst time for them to be absent from the team.

Which Liverpool young players will grab Klopp’s attention?

It goes without saying that we anticipate giving our younger, less experienced set of players more opportunities to participate during our forthcoming Europa League group stage campaign.

Ben Doak, who Klopp acquired from Celtic, is expected to play a pivotal part against LASK, and it would be hardly shocking to see Jarell Quansah join him in the starting lineup in Austria.

That’s not to say that the team will only be made up of youthful players; players like Virgil van Dijk and possibly even Mo Salah could end up taking part in the game.

Additionally, our most recent summer acquisition, Ryan Gravenberch, who is out to redeem himself after a disastrous year-long stint in Munich, deserves to get his first proper look.
