Although it appeared that Aaron Donald will rejoin the Los Angeles Rams for another season earlier in the summer, he announced his retirement last week.

When he becomes eligible, he will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame based on the impressive career he created during his ten seasons as a player with the Los Angeles Rams.

Donald stated that he doesn’t feel the drive or enthusiasm to play through one more season since he is happy with his accomplishments and is retiring.

“I’m complete. I’m full,” Donald said.

Even though Donald played defensive tackle, he was always one of the NFL’s top pass rushers. It was always terrifying to see him go after the other quarterback, especially if the Rams were playing that club.

Drafted as the thirteenth overall choice in 2014, he was selected to eight All-Pro First Teams, made it to the Pro Bowl each season, and won three defensive player of the year awards.

The Rams advanced to the Super Bowl in 2018 but lost to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, in 2021, they had a tremendous season after adding players on both sides of the ball over the years.

They made a big investment, acquiring defender Von Miller and standout quarterback Matthew Stafford, which was sufficient for them to win it all.

In Super Bowl LVI, Donald recorded four tackles (three solo), three quarterback hits, 2.0 sacks, and two tackles for loss. As a result, several people felt he should have won the MVP award.

But as he stated, his career is over, and he is among the greatest to have played his position in history when he retires.
