Inter Miami’s 2024 season is rapidly approaching.
The starting lineup for the Herons against Real Salt Lake on February 21st is a topic of much interest among fans and commentators.
Chris Henderson was adamant that the Herons would get better during the off-season following his remarks made towards the end of the 2023 season.
We’re investigating every possibility to [bolster the team]. We want to demonstrate our abilities as a club and we have big plans for 2024,” Henderson said.
“We’ve had high ambition and trophy winning since the beginning.”
“To support [Tata Martino], his staff, and all the players to ensure we’re performing everywhere in the club, we’re evaluating every department in our front office and performance staff,” he said.
Inter Miami’s opening day starting XI
Miami has already brought in players like Nicolas Freire at center back, Julian Gressel, and Luis Suarez. The Herons will also have a strong bench that includes players like Jean Mota, Corentin Jean, Robert Taylor, and others.
When Miami takes on Real Salt Lake on February 21st, their opening lineup could look like this:

Tata Martino seems to prefer to play in the 3-5-2 formation.
Martino used the same lineup for the Heron in their first two preseason games in order to provide the team with adequate defensive cover to thwart counterattacks. Even though the team still needs to gel offensively, it will happen eventually with Messi in the lineup.
Miami supporters will want to see some action in the final third, even though there is still plenty of time before the season begins. With a trip to Saudi Arabia, the Herons will soon achieve those objectives.
