As Christmas Day approaches, the Los Angeles Rams have a good chance of making the postseason.
The Los Angeles Rams defeated the New Orleans Saints 30–22 on “Thursday Night Football,” allowing them to relax on Christmas Eve and Day. However, their chances of making the playoffs have improved.
As of Christmas Day, NFL.com indicates that the Rams have a 65 percent probability of making the postseason. They are now ranked No. 6 in the NFC, one position ahead of the Seattle Seahawks, who play in the same division. Strangely enough, though, among the conference’s top seven seeds, those are the poorest odds.
Seattle has a 69% probability of making the playoffs at No. 7, while the 49ers, Eagles, and Cowboys are the three NFC clubs that have already guaranteed postseason spots.
Los Angeles enters the final two weeks of the regular season with a winning record, having won back-to-back games and five of the previous six. But for those two games, they’ll be on the road, first taking on the New York Giants and finishing up with the San Francisco 49ers.
The Giants and Rams will kick off on Sunday at 10 a.m. PT. FOX will televise the game.
