The rookie rushing back is having a fantastic season. On Thursday, he had another outstanding performance against the Saints.

On Thursday night, the Los Angeles Rams defeated the New Orleans Saints in a game that was broadcast nationwide. With the Saints and Rams tied for the seventh-best record in the NFC at the time, the game had significant postseason implications. But, the Rams proved they were not only up to the challenge, but also the superior team.

For the third week in a row, Kyren Williams surpassed 100 yards running, continuing his incredible season. He became the first Rams rusher to reach 1000 yards since Todd Gurley in 2018. His ability to build up runs has really benefited the passing game as well; for head coach Sean McVay, play-action plays are functioning as effectively as they ever have. For this reason, it makes perfect sense that Williams received 73% of the vote from fans, who overwhelmingly chose him as the team MVP.

Williams is well worthy of the victory, even if I’m surprised wide receiver Puka Nacua didn’t gain a few more votes since his numbers are getting close to “league leading” level. However, you really couldn’t go wrong with either player since Williams and Nacua have both been essential to the offense’s success, consistently stepping up in the most important situations, as they did against the Saints.

Los Angeles dominated the game for the greater part of the evening. The final score would have indicated as much if it weren’t for a few special teams errors that gave the Saints a late lead. Even if the Rams need to improve, particularly in the kicking department, as demonstrated by their victory over Washington, the youthful group had the fortitude to persevere in the face of difficulty, which is a hallmark of a successful McVay-coached squad.

The confidence vote once again reflects the recognition that the fans have placed on this team’s cohesiveness and the growth of all the young players. As they were last week, supporters are upbeat and still have 99% faith in the team’s future.

With another crucial game against the New York Giants coming up next week, the Rams are now in charge of their future. In a scenario where the Seahawks and Green Bay both dropped a game in either Week 15 or 16, the Rams could even be able to secure a postseason position with a victory against the Giants the following week. All of it is meaningless if the Rams fail to defeat New York, but like the supporters, I have faith that this squad will be prepared.
