Murphy stood quietly for a moment, looking at every athlete in the circle \u2014 seniors who had carried the weight of expectations, freshmen experiencing this atmosphere for the first time, and teammates who had battled through adversity together all year long.<\/p>\n
Then he finally spoke.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe didn\u2019t get here by accident,\u201d Murphy said. \u201cEvery difficult inning, every heartbreaking loss, every challenge you faced \u2014 it all led to this moment. People doubted you. People questioned you. But you kept showing up for each other.\u201d<\/p>\n
The room fell silent as his words settled over the team.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are only so many opportunities like this in life,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd no matter what happens tonight, nobody can ever take away the journey you created together. Nobody can erase the bond you built wearing Alabama across your chest.\u201d<\/p>\n
